The Use of English outside our class
by Marina Delgado Moreno (3º ESO B , María Pacheco Highschool )
In our class there are different opinions about English, the use of English outside the English class and other things related to the English language.
In our class, 3º ESO B, there are twenty-four people and half of us like English. Almost all the people in the class, twenty-two people, listen to English songs; this is good, because you learn new words and you learn to pronounce some words too.
There are only two people who have some English-speaking friends.
About 45.8 % of the class visit English web-sites.
There are seven people who think English is easy to learn; personally, I think English grammar is easier than Spanish grammar, but not vocabulary, because you say the words differently from the way you write them.
25 % of the class go to an English academy and have parents who speak English.
Nearly all the class read books in English, twenty-two people out of twenty-four.
There are three people who have been in some English-speaking country. In my case, I went to Boston last summer, to my uncle and aunt’s house there. I went to Boston with my parents when I was three, when my cousin was born. And last year I was in New York, in Canada and then, I went to Boston to visit my family with my parents and my sister.
